Over the past few months I've had the opportunity to work on several really great book jackets, most of which I hope to post soon on my site. A few of these gems, regrettably, will never make it to the book shelf. Regardless, I enjoyed working on them and thought it was worth showing a few of my latest killed projects.

I recently teamed up with Arnold Worldwide in D.C. to work on a new campaign for Amtrak's Acela train service.
The campaign includes a 30-second Acela spot that will appear on video screens in New York City cabs. Online ads will appear on sites including NYTimes.com, Google,
MSN and Yahoo. Print ads will run in various news publications including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
Working with art director Rebecca Mabie on the ads has been really great. We are finishing the last few bits now though the campaign has launched and can be scene around the city and in print.

Happy New Year!
I'm working on many new projects which I will post here as they are finished. Projects include book covers for Penguin and John Murray UK and Penguin USA, A book on spirit animals for Chronicle books with fellow artists Grady McFerrin, Rachel Salomon, Clare Rojas and others and, an Ad campaign for Amtrak with ad agency, Arnold World Wide.
I'm also pleased to announce I will have 8 pieces in the next Society of Illustrators Annual with work in the editorial, advertising and book catergories. I also had the pleasure of judging the uncommisioned category. Congrats to all of the winners. The Gala for the editorial and book competition will be held Friday, February 6th at the Society of Illustrators gallery on 63rd street. The Gala for advertising will be held on Friday, March 6.

I have a few pieces in the latest issue of the Print Regional Design Annual.

4 pieces and another series of 4 made it into the Society of Illustrators 50th annual this year.
Also, I just found out that I got 4 pieces into American Illustration and a piece into Communication Arts.

The cover for Wangari Maathai's autobiography Unbowed , a collaboration with designer Gabriele Wilson,
made it into the AIGA 50 Books/ 50 Covers competiton.
Selected covers are on display at the AIGA design center and will be in a traveling exhibition in 2008.
